Sunscreen and Aging

For more youthful skin–expensive surgery, injections or high-end cosmetics are highly touted options. But a simple solution may come from a product that gets little fanfare this time of year—sunscreen.

Sunscreen gets its “fifteen minutes in the sun” during the summer, but your skin may benefit year round—rain or shine. In one study, daily sunscreen use reduced the effects of aging on skin by nearly twenty five percent.

Sunscreen protects the skin from harmful UV rays and helps prevent skin cancer, but it may also reduce premature wrinkles and benefit your beauty.

Now, whether you care about youthful skin or not, I recommend you—and your

children–use sunscreen anytime of the year when heading outdoors.
