Maybe you feel like the listener who wrote: I want to eat healthier over the holidays, but taking away the traditional foods takes away the fun.
I admit it’s hard to replace grandma’s famous pecan pie with a veggie tray, but you don’t have to go that far. A few simple changes can keep you from ringing in the New Year at a new waist size.
For example: eat a light snack or take a walk before going to a party, you’ll eat less. Make your favorite recipes but substitute healthier ingredients. And if you stick to tea or water most of the time you’ll dramatically cut the calories found in holiday drinks.
You can enjoy your favorite flavors of the holiday season and make similar changes throughout the year. The result will be something you can really be thankful for, a longer healthier life.
