Will you help us Spread the Love in September?
Fight Hunger. Feed Hope.
It’s time again for our annual Spread the Love peanut butter drive. Throughout the month of September, we need your help to fight hunger and feed hope to your hungry neighbors.
Ways to Donate:
- Donate virtual jars of peanut butter at a discount here!
- Drop off your peanut butter at our Stuff The Truck on Thursday, September 19 between Centennial Chapel & College Church University Campus location in Bourbonnais from 9am-1pm!
National Hunger Action Month is held every September in an attempt to raise awareness of the hunger problem in our communities. Food Banks across the country sponsor activities and events to educate, engage and mobilize the public in the fight against hunger and poverty. As a member of Feeding
Why Peanut Butter?
Peanut butter is fun and nutritious! Peanut butter is an excellent source of protein and serves as a great substitution or alternative to meat products because it is much less expensive, it is filling, and it contains fiber. Finally, peanut butter is jam-packed with nutrients like phosphorus, potassium, zinc, folate, and the antioxidant vitamin E. Peanut butter is a popular food bank item and is always in high demand.
Help us reach our goal!
Peanut butter is a much needed protein rich food that will help needy children and their families. Our goal for Spread the Love is to collect 100,000 jars of peanut butter by September 30th. Thank you for your help in trying to reach this goal!
