Your Blind Spot

Well, we had a pretty close call this week in our car. Didn’t we?

Yeah. We had more than one, and it’s because our car has a different level of vision.

Well, it’s a new car, and it’s got a blind spot. And looking through that window and looking at the mirror isn’t quit the same as our old car.

No. And I’ll tell you what. That blind spot has got us thinking about how relationally sometimes we are just so oblivious; just going about our business happy and feeling pretty faultless until we get some feed back.

Yeah, until our spouse honks the horn, and says, “Hey! Look at yourself!” Right? But that sometimes is a pretty difficult lesson. In fact, it could help us avoid some of those relational accidents when we’re a little receptive to feedback on our own blind spots.
