You know, Thomas Moore said something that I have always appreciated, he said, “It should be called something by a better name, because friendship sounds too cold.” Isn’t that true? I mean ‘friendship,’ there is something so unbelievably warm and comforting about a good friend.
There really is. You know, I just had my 42nd birthday a couple days ago and I couldn’t believe how I felt, because so many friends just remembered to call or send a note or drop by for a second and just let me know that I was in their thoughts. You know what, it just made all the difference.
Friend, think about the friends in your life and how they comfort you and support you; how you can do the same for them. Don’t let the gift of friendship go under-valued.
